RIMAM Computer Services – Privacy Policy

Effective 5 August 2025 (replaces all prior versions)

RIMAM Inc. d/b/a RIMAM Computer Services (“RIMAM,” “we,” “our,” “us”) provides remote-first IT support, cloud services, and limited on-site work for contracted business clients. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1.  Information We Collect

We do not collect or store Social Security Numbers or other sensitive personal identifiers unless strictly required for tax-related business registration and authorised by you in advance.

2.  How We Use Your Information

  • Provide & maintain services – create accounts, deliver remote support, process payments
  • Improve & secure our platform – diagnose bugs, defend against fraud or attacks
  • Communicate – send invoices, service notices, product updates, security alerts
  • Marketing (opt-in only) – deliver newsletters or promotions you have requested

We never sell or rent your Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

3.  Legal Bases for Processing

We process data under one or more of the following bases:

  1. Performance of a contract – to provide the service you ordered
  2. Legitimate interest – to improve security and customer experience
  3. Consent – for optional marketing communications
  4. Legal obligation – to meet tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements

5.  Cookies & Similar Technologies

  • Functional cookies keep you logged in and remember preferences
  • Analytics cookies help us understand site traffic (Google Analytics)

You can disable cookies in your browser; most features will still work, but some preferences may be lost.

6.  Data Security

  • TLS 1.2/1.3 encryption for all data in transit
  • SOC 2-compliant cloud hosting partners
  • Strict least-privilege access for employees
  • Automatic malware scans and intrusion detection

7.  Data Retention

We keep customer records only as long as necessary to deliver services and meet legal obligations. Remote-session recordings (if any) are retained for up to 30 days and then securely deleted unless required for troubleshooting or compliance.

8.  Your Choices & Rights

  • Review / correct data – email support@rimamcs.com or log in to your portal
  • Opt-out of marketing – click “unsubscribe” in any email
  • Request deletion – subject to legal / contractual retention requirements
  • Do Not Track – we honour DNT browser signals and do not plant tracking cookies when DNT is enabled

9.  Children’s Privacy

Our services are business-to-business and not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.

10.  Data Breach Notification

If we discover a breach that affects your PII, we will notify you via email within 7 business days and provide remediation guidance.

11.  Changes to This Policy

We will post any revisions on this page and update the “Effective Date.” Material changes will be announced via email or a site banner.
