What Can I Do to Check if My Email or Password Has Been Compromised?
Check Your Email:
- Go to Have I Been Pwned.
- Type your email address and click the “pwned?” button.
- If you see the green message “Good News – no pwnage found,” proceed to the next step to check your password.
- If you see the red message “Oh no – pwned,” don’t panic. This means your email address was affected in this data breach. It’s time to check your password.
Check Your Password:
- Go to Have I Been Pwned - Passwords or click the “Password” option in the top menu.
- Type your password and click the “pwned?” button.
- If you see the green message “Good News – no pwnage found,” this means your password wasn't compromised.
- If you see the red message “Oh no – pwned,” don’t panic, but act as soon as you can. This means your password was affected in this data breach, and you MUST change your password ASAP. If you are using this password with any other accounts, please go and change your password.
