Release Announcement: ClientPortal r1720

We are pleased to announce the release of ClientPortal r1720, which brings several new features and improvements to enhance your experience.

What's New:

  • Folders Feature: The highly requested folders and subfolders functionality is now available! You can create, rearrange by drag-and-drop, and navigate through folders using breadcrumbs. While there’s more to come (like multi-select and public folder options), this feature provides a robust starting point.

  • File Management Enhancements:

    • Display image file dimensions on manage files, public pages, download pages, and all templates.
    • Option to show public files in client file lists.
    • Organize file uploads into year/month folders.
    • Manage files with assigned categories.
  • Additional Features and Improvements:

    • Added link to download translations in the languages dropdown.
    • Support for underscores in usernames.
    • SVG files are now allowed as branding images.
    • New option to not log downloads by the file’s uploader.
    • Support for environment variables in SMTP configuration.
    • Added aliases or virtual links for uploaded files.
    • Fixed issues with 2FA token validation, video file previews, and SVG file sanitization.
    • Updated local jQuery version on templates and improved admin page checks.
  • Bug Fixes:

    • Resolved PHP 8 warnings and errors related to self-registration and template changes.
    • Addressed XSS vulnerabilities and fixed issues with validation errors and link access.
    • Corrected double “x” in close modal button and improved handling of long IPv6 addresses.

Security Updates: - Fixed insecure strings generated by random string functions and updated dependencies with known security issues (e.g., CKEditor5).
