Why are you getting this?

  1. As one of our accounting, tax preparation, or medical clients, it’s important to ensure your compliance with WISP (Written Information Security Program). Please verify that your WISP is properly implemented if you manage it independently.
  2. We offer email services for your company and can also manage your email server.

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing security and protecting your information, we are implementing two important updates to our email services. These changes are designed to safeguard against potential threats and ensure the integrity of our communications. Additional security updates are either already in place or coming soon. Please note that we will send no more than 2 or 3 notifications regarding these updates. It is important that you review this information thoroughly and not bypass it. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement these new security measures.

Effective now, the following rules will be enforced:

  1. Attachment Restrictions: To protect against malicious content, any email containing attachments with the following file types will be automatically deleted: .html, .vbs, .exe, .htm, .javascript, .bat. If you need to send or receive such files, please use alternative methods or contact our support team for assistance.
  2. External Email Tagging: Emails that originate from addresses not associated with your organization will now be tagged with a disclaimer. This measure is intended to help you identify and avoid potential spoofing or impersonation attempts.

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@rimamcs.com.

FAQ’S

I have GoDaddy as an email provider, what can I do?

If you don’t know how to do it you can contact GoDaddy Support Team, they will do it for you. You can contact us, be aware that some advanced options are limited.

I have GSuite (paid version) as an email provider, what can I do?

Sign in to the GSuite Admin Console, Go to Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > Advanced settings > Compliance. You can contact us; we can help you.

I have Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, Apple’s, other as an email provider, what can I do?

Free email services like MSN, Hotmail (now Outlook.com), Gmail (free version), Yahoo Mail, and SBCGlobal (often managed by AT&T) have some limitations compared to business email suites. However, you can still manage certain aspects of email security and organization, though not as extensively as with business-focused solutions. There are not WISP Compliance. You should upgrade to a business solution.
